2023 marks the 30th anniversary of The Posies' iconic "Frosting on the Beater" album, namechecked as an influence on a wide range of artists, from Snow Patrol to Queen Latifah. The Posies have always been a 'musician's musicians' band, and the diverse range of talented artists appearing here, coming from all over the world, from Europe to Ecuador, from the US to Japan, celebrate this anniversary by revisiting and breathing new life into these songs with their own talent, sensitivity and unique sounds while creating meaningful change through the medium of music by donating 100% of profits to solarsister.org. Enjoy!

All proceeds from album sales here go directly to the coincidentally/wonderfully named “Solar Sister” organization which supports African women with clean energy projects in rural African communities. Solar Sister provides essential services and training that enable women entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses in their own communities.
